I know now why I haven't posted anything for a long time. I've tried a few times in the past and have given up on getting the pictures posted using the laptop so here's a text only blog.
Natalie came to our house to help Aunt Laurie, Great Grandma Jayne and me cut out christmas cookies. First, she had to choose the shape. Then, dip the cutter in flour, tap off the extra flour, place the cutter on the rolled out dough, press it down firmly and then pick up the cutter. She liked the cutters with handles but she could manage the others, too. Sometimes the shape stayed right in the cutter and she loved to have someone tap it out so it would fall into her hand. All the shapes went onto a baking sheet and into the oven. Natalie stuck with us like a trooper for a half hour, then she played with Great Grandpa Bob and Sprout while we finished cutting and and baking. When the cookies were cool, she picked out some for her family. I put frosting on them and she did all the sprinkles. At last she got to pick out one to have for a snack with milk. Then finally at 4:15 , an hour after coming quietly to me and asking if she could have a nap, she got to go rest. How often do you hear that from a 2 year old?? As Grandpa Alan said, we could call the newspaper and report that a good time was had by all!

cookies for her family? I've yet to see those...I need to chat with Jon :)
Fun to read your account after hearing hers!
I'm curious about that, too, since we made a special point of picking one out for everyone!
