Circus Parade Preview

These street sweepers were at the end of the parade but I'm having technical difficulties with my photos tonight.
We were in Milwaukee this weekend to see the Great Circus Parade. There were 50 antique circus wagons. Some with animals, some with bands, some with clowns. All very colorful. And hundreds of horses pulling wagons or carrying riders. There were no motorized vehicles in the parade after the police escort and old cars passed.
A trolley full of clowns.

And no circus would be complete without elephants.
These little bands atop wagons played very fast circus-type music.

I'll put together a shutterfly album if anybody is interested in lots of parade pictures.

Looks like a colorful day that you didn't have to watch inside on the big screen!
Remember that song Jon came up with for the piano...I think he called it "Calliope"...is that the kind of fast circus type music you heard?

I wonder if you are thinking of "Lambchops". That was fast and circus-y.
