I know it was a shock to see a new post but I figure I should make an effort to post some of my goings on however mundane. I do so look forward to and enjoy the family posts - maintains a nice connection even though we don't see each other or talk daily.
I packed a full overnight and next day bag this morning plus extra blankets and survival gear if I got stranded somewhere. But.... as is the case lately with decreased census, the hospital was plus on nurses at 3 so I got off. I had a bunch of online education to do so not knowing if I would get the rest of the shift off (7-11:30PM) I worked on that, and at 4:45 they told me my leave was extended til 11:30. So going home when the stores are still open is a treat! I have been instructed to look at the shingle samples at Menard's sometime and choose the new roof we're getting this summer. There was a strong temptation to go the Dairy Queen way and swing in for a dilly bar but I resisted. I seem to be stuck at a certain number (higher than my ideal weight) so I'm trying to overcome inertia and get it down a little. Working thru supper helps but I HAVE to eat ;) ;). My plan is to eat the right stuff and not too much of it (easier said than done) So I have a small bowl of pasta salad in front of me and I think I'll go out to the fridge and get some of the fruit I fixed for work lunches. Then I'll wait for the storm. I haven't checked to see what path it is taking now so maybe it will miss us.

I think the storm's still coming but it seems to be turning to rain...at least on the radar. I think St. Peter might be starting to get it.
The blogs posts ARE nice. You get in on things people probably forget to tell you about by the next time they see you.
Glad you got an unexpected night off of work! Good for you, skipping the DQ. My willpower is not usually that great!
Working does help not eating...sometimes I put off lunch 'for a little while' at work...the next thing I know it's 3PM!
Another thing. If I excercise it'll usually curb the appetite for a few hours...especially if I drink a lot when I'm thirsty.
