Girls' Week Out

First clue as to where we were

So warm and bright on the deck that we had to sit with our backs to the sun for reading (books and email)

Edgar B. Spear coming into Two Harbors. Laur and I walked out to the end of the pier to watch him maneuver into the harbor. So windy we almost got blown off the walkway.
Laur with her ever present connection to the outside world

Another ship at sunrise

Jill cozying up in the cabin to read

Laur at the Fitgers stairway and vantage point for watching ships from the west

My mystery meal included popovers. I have been practicing for a week at home to get them right. Just in case they flopped for the north shore meal, I had a picture ready to SHOW  the sisters what they were supposed to look like. (I actually baked this one) As it turned out, they were pretty good and went with pot roast and salad.

This is my favorite vacation of the year! Your mystery meal was a roaring success and so was Jill's. Can't be too sure about the one in about a half hour!
How many folks do you know waiting for their ship to come in that get 23 of them?!
