Family Fun Day

The day started with Jon bringing Natalie to stay with us while brother Harvey went for his 1 week check. We walked over to the Great grandpartents' house. Grandma Jayne brought Aunt Laurie's childhood doll out of mothballs (actually it was a bar of Irish Spring soap that kept everything fresh) and Natalie quickly added Suzie to her list of dolls that she loves. For some reason, the sox had to come off and Natalie giggled when grandma tried to warm up her feet. When Harvey got back from the doctor, Natalie showed us what at good sister she is - holding and cuddling her brother.
My Mom and Dad hadn't seen Harvey since their visit the day he was born so they gladly accepted an invitation to have some dessert with all of us.
In true Minnesota goodby fashion, we all followed the little family out to the van and saw how they buckle up. Her mom says Natalie will entertain Harvey on the way home with a running commentary. Notice grandma is holding a flower. It is one of those "pink dandelions" that grow in grandpma Alan's garden. Natalie wanted to pick one and learned that they are geraniums. If you ask her, she will likely tell you it is a geranium.
And a parting shot. What a fun day!

Wow! What a difference a few days makes in how wide Harvey opens his eyes!

Natalie was BEAT when we got home!! She slept great! And would you believe after that huge piece of ice cream cake she ate, she still asked for a snack before bed?!
