You never know what you'll come across when doing a roadside clean-up. Yesterday, I documented a few of the critters in various states of decomposition. There was the deer carcus - one of several.

A grinning raccoon-belly up.

A mouse.
A fish. Yes, A FISH! This is exactly the way I found it.

And then there were these two.

It was a beautiful day to be outside and fitting that we did this on Earth Day. Grandma and Grandpa insisted they go along and help. We did half in the morning with a long noon break and finished up late in the afternoon. We've been doing the same section long enough so that there's never a huge amount of trash- mostly bottles, cans and food containers. Today we filled 5 bags. That should do it til some time in July when we'll do #2 of 3 for the season.

Oops! That would be "carcass"
Jill and I were commenting about that.
Ashton's not going to like this post with the racoons....dead ones at that!
yick. I have to say this post was a little gross for me. Glad I wasn't helping on the clean up this time!
I saw the deer, and my first thought was wondering if it would be possible to sterilize the larger bones and make something out of them.
Is the wild west rubbing off on you, Firefly?
It very well might be. It's hard to tell. :D
